Our Story
Since 2019, Lakeland Lead’s business leaders have felt a moral imperative to improve our schools. Many factors contributed to these business leaders’ decision to get involved in making a difference in Lakeland students’ academic journey.
Lakeland Leads includes representatives from some of Lakeland’s largest employers. All are committed to working with the district and fellow education stakeholders to ensure Lakeland becomes a premier destination for families and businesses.
Lakeland Leads is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and all donations to this organization are tax-deductible.
Our Mission
Our mission is to engage the business community in transforming Lakeland’s public school system to produce graduates with 21st Century skills, post-secondary credentials, and workforce readiness.
Our Vision
Our vision is for all Lakeland students to attend a high-ranking school to gain a quality education. Our prepared graduates will create a qualified workforce pipeline to meet the demands of our growing economy. The exemplary reputation of our schools will attract new businesses and retain high-skill, high-wage talent.
